Happy Anniversary to Quilted
Bear Den. On September 1, 2009, Quilted Bear Den
opened at our new location in Hyde Park. I can't
believe it has been a year already. We're cooking up
a great deal to celebrate this event along with the
long Labor Day Weekend. From Wednesday, September 1,
2010 to Sunday, September 5, 2010 we are having an
Anniversary Sale. Our sale is going to be 30% off
the GREEN TAG
bolts in the store. All bolts that have a green
circle on the bolt will be 30% off. Plus if you are
nice enough to finish the bolt for us, we will give
you an extra 10% off that bolt. (Please note that
the computer has the final say as to if a bolt is on
sale, so if a label gets "misplaced" the computer
will know if it is on sale or not). This is all
leading up to Monday, September 6, which is Labor
Day and Quilted Bear Den will be closed, so I can
have some time to relax.

We've got lots of things going
on at Quilted Bear Den. We just got some real fun
fabric in from Alexander Henry. We've gotten new
hunks in the store. This time they are camping and
getting ready for Christmas. We've also got a nice
light canvas weight sewing design that makes great
tote bags. To go with this we've designed a tote bag
to showcase any of the great fabric designs without
a lot of interference with other fabrics.

July 24, 2010-Sorry
I haven't Posted recently. We've had lots of
activity at the store and things got away from me
(again). The
August Class Schedule
is now on-line and also available in the store. We
will be adding a couple of classes later in the
month, once personal schedules are finalized.
We've got a couple of new patterns in from Pacific
Rim Designs. These are the two fabric appliqués that
work great in batiks. We've got a Sailboat &
Lighthouse pattern and an Autumn Leaves and Acorn
pattern.

I just finished this great
little baby quilt from the "Fast & Furious Quilt As
you Go" book by Gudrun Erla. It's called Sweet
Chirps and goes together real easy using fat
quarters for the top. The quilt as you go technique
makes it go together fast and the fusible applique
bird just looks so cute on the quilt.

Welcome to our updated web
site. We hope you like the modified look. There is
not a whole lot different here, we just rearranged a
few things. Please remember to check out the
Schedule of Events to see what we are up to and
check back here as we will be using this as our blog
to keep you updated on new items and samples as they
become available.
I'd like to first show you the new sample we made
with the Mini Miranda Bag Pattern. We used Mark
Lipinski's latest line called Winter Grace, it looks
really sharp.

We're working on lots of great things, but if you
would like us to offer a particular class or learn a
technique, please let us know. |
